DCZ301    EMS802   Violet Wand LTIM-096     Q&A: How Safe is Electricity?

DCZ301

Item: DCZ301

Price $75

Description: This electrical device uses a circuit to jump 3VDC to 300VDC and has a variable current setting to dial from barely perceptible (1mA) to painful (20mA). The probes are made of stainless steel and use common 3-way binding posts to plug into the unit.

These standard binding posts and the removable probes mean you can connect your own wires and probes to the unit. For example you can connect one end of the DCZ301 to a wire and alligator clip connected to a tinfoil sheet under your playmate and use the other probe to touch your playmate along the body.

Requires a 9V battery, included. Also includes a drawstring cloth carry case and user manual.

EMS802
Item: EMS802Kit

Price $150

Description: This is the next generation of EMS units. The EMS802 features 8 different wave forms (4 Ramp, 3 Pulse, 1 Steady) for different sensations, 2 standard 3.5mm plugs for attaching 2 sets of probes instead of one, and a single indicator lamp that flashes in sync with the wave coming out of the probes. You can watch the waveform you're getting by watching the lamp.

Even after adding all these features we've been able to hold the price to the previous version.

Here's what it does: you hold one handhold, your partner holds the other, and wherever you touch, the two of you become a vibrator. The sensation is not one of pinprick shock, it's more like a buzz.

Imagine your lover's tongue turning into a vibrator all over your body. This device adds a whole new dimension to kissing.

Safe? Absolutely! The EMS802 will not stop a healthy heart. A Taser puts out 30 joules of energy  and causes the body extreme pain and complete loss of bladder and bowel control. A defibrillator puts out 300 joules of energy and is enough to cause back muscles to involuntarily contract and reset the heart's independent timer. The EMS802 puts out less than 2 joules. With the intensity turned all the way up you can still voluntarily let go of the handholds, stopping the sensation.

Comes with carry case, manual, 6 ft. wire harness, and two stainless steel handholds. Requires 9V battery.

Why use a violet wand? The sensation has been described as champagne bubbles bursting on your skin. Imagine that as part of your play. There is also the sound component; the LTIM-096 gives an electrical buzzing sound when operating, sounding very dangerous. When turned up high, the unit actually creates sparks that jump from the tube to the skin, generating ozone and a typical "after rainstorm" smell of negative ions. Negative ions are known to produce a happy, relaxed state in the mind.

Violet wands are so named because of the violet glow they give off from the tube. The glow is based on the type of gas inside the tube. When the glass tube is made, all the oxygen and nitrogen of the surrounding atmosphere is removed, and the tube filled with gas. The LTIM-096 tubes light up orange because of the neon gas inside. Other common filler gases are argon, helium, and krypton. Only noble gases (ie. those that will not decompose) can be used.
